Cultivator Management Software Raises $3.1M in Seed Funding

The platform fills a big gap in the market for enterprise scale farms.

Trym is a farm management software designed for cannabis cultivators. The company's CEO Matt Mayberry says "connectivity is the future of cannabis agriculture." He says that commercial cultivators must closely track and manage all aspects of their business.

On September 29, 2020, the company announced $3.1 million in seed round funding. The funding will allow Trym to make software advancements and expand its management platform into new markets.

Trym currently operates in 14 U.S. states and works with more than 80 of the largest cultivators in the country.

The company provides commercial growers with operations management software that provides compliance reporting and comprehensive analytics capabilities.

The newest feature is the Harvest Planner, which helps cultivators plan multiple harvests in advance, predict production yields and benchmark performance against the forecasts. Harvest Planner provides the ability to plot out resources for annual production to meet revenue targets, which is currently a gap in the market for enterprise scale farms.

According to Trym, intense competition in the cultivation supply chain is pushing down prices and forcing operators to improve production efficiency. The software helps organizations scale.

Trym will use the funding to continue to improve the platform, including integrations with complimentary supply chain software and hardware systems.
