The University of New Mexico has become the latest college to offer a cannabis certification program.
The Cannabis Compliance and Risk Management Certificate Program comes roughly one year after the state began adult-use recreational sales.
“This skill is very high in demand,” said UNM Continuing Education Marketing Manager Laura Jimenez.
UNM partnered with Green Flower to create the six-month curriculum.
According to KRQE, Green Flower has previously partnered with 18 other colleges on similar programs.
The cannabis curriculum will focus on agriculture, distribution, retail operations, marketing and accounting.
