Dispensary Suspended for Allegedly Using 'Gun' to Smoke Cannabis in Public

A video showed “large plumes of cannabis smoke being blown from a large gun apparatus into the mouths of persons outside the dispensary.”

Maryland’s Cannabis Administration has temporarily suspended a Cookies dispensary operating in the Federal Hill neighborhood of Baltimore.

According to WMAR, the suspension notice came less than one week after the grand opening and detailed numerous violations.

Inspectors said a video appeared to show “large plumes of medical cannabis smoke being blown from a large gun apparatus into the mouths of persons outside the dispensary.”

The “gun” had a sticker with a Cookies logo on it.

As the report points out, Maryland law prohibits public consumption of cannabis.

The MCA also accused the dispensary of targeting minors with its advertising and not fully cooperating with the investigation.

The dispensary could be facing up to a $10,000 fine.
