U.S. Company Sues, Claims It Was Duped by Cannabis Automation Claims

The company allegedly promised two sets of cannabis production equipment at a price of $4 million each.

USA Cannabis, a company based in Washington State, has filed a $2 million lawsuit alleging breach of contract by a Canada-based business.

Specifically, the company said Mingguo Liu and Jing Zhou of Botanic Workshop did not provide the cannabis automation equipment they had promised.

According to Coast Reporter, USA Cannabis made a deal with Botanic in 2022 for two sets of cannabis production equipment at a price of $4 million each.

The company said it was told the equipment could process 20,000 pounds of marijuana per year.

USA Cannabis claims it paid Botanic approximately $2 million per the deal but the company dissolved later that year before delivering on its contractual obligations.

The company has accused Botanic of running a fraudulent scheme, but those claims have yet to be proven in court.
