The Cannabis Equipment News (CEN) team recently traveled to MJBizCon 2024 in Las Vegas from December 4 through December 6. At the show, we interviewed leaders from nearly every aspect of the industry.
Cliff Haney is the commercial solutions architect at Lowtemp Industries, a company making products built by hash makers, for hash makers. While the company has focused on solventless extraction since 2015, it has started branching out.
At MJBizCon 2024, the company was showing off The Osprey, a 75-gallon commercial hash washing machine for producing bubble hash, as well as the Mini Osprey, a smaller 30-gallon machine for small batch operators.
The company's proprietary process can gently and effectively separate resin from up to 21,000 grams of frozen cannabis or 4,200 grams of dried cannabis per run.
Haney says the biggest bottleneck of the extraction process is the packaging. He says companies typically have 15 to 20 employees dispensing 60-80 g per hour by hand. Lowtemp's new Concentrate Dispenser can dispense 400 to 1,000 g per hour.
Haney says solventless extraction continues to become more efficient, which comes at a critical time when sales of solventless vape cartridges and edibles are at all-time highs. Haney adds that Lowtemp's equipment also enhances product presentation.
We didn't have time to interview everybody, so if we missed you, please reach out to [email protected]. MJBizCon 2025 is scheduled to be held from December 2, 2025, through December 5, 2025, at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
