This week, Ari Raptis, CEO and founder of Talaria Transportation, joins the Cannabis Equipment News podcast to discuss how he built a trusted cannabis logistics provider by investing in tech and hiring a highly skilled team that includes retired police officers and military veterans.

Ari Raptis founded Talaria Transportation seven years ago in response to Pennsylvania's legislation that legalized medical marijuana. Raptis saw an urgent need for secure, compliant and efficient transportation solutions.

What started as a local solution in Pennsylvania has expanded into a multi-state operation.

Raptis says he is committed to investing in new technology and risk management, which has led to a 58% reduction in incident rates since 2024.

Talaria is made up of a team of highly skilled professionals, including retired police officers and military veterans.

Raptis is also the founder of National Secure Transport (NST), a cash management and logistics company specializing in secure, efficient cash movement. The company provides customers with the latest fully integrated currency transport, cash-in-transit, cash vault, change orders, smart safe, financial institution depository and ATM services, and uses proprietary software to provide a seamless customer experience.

Raptis is also working on a direct-to-consumer platform, Melly Home Delivery, which provides compliant, safe and reliable products delivered right to the door.
