New legislation being proposed in Oklahoma would place limits on how much cannabis consumers can purchase each week from dispensaries in the state.
According to the Oklahoman, the proposed bill would only allow licensed medical cannabis patients to buy up to 2.5 ounces per week.
As the report points out, it’s unclear how the state and its dispensaries would track purchases to ensure patients don’t exceed the limit.
Another recent cannabis-related bill in Oklahoma is taking aim at advertising.
It’s focused on limiting claims about medical cannabis and also placing restrictions on the types of outdoor advertising allowed for dispensaries.
Specifically, the proposed bill would ban the use of "flashing signs, flags, banners, or tube men" on dispensary grounds.
