Jointly is a software company with an app that helps consumers improve the cannabis experience by being intentional about their use. David Kooi, the company's co-founder and CEO, calls it a platform built for purposeful consumption for consumers who are deliberate in their product choices and mindful of the factors that can impact the results. He says the app helps solve the cannabis puzzle for them.
Using the data from the consumer app, Jointly also makes software for retailers, including a virtual budtender used on dispensary websites. The software is built upon OpenAI's GPT-4 model—but can be changed if a better platform becomes available—and provides AI tools, like training for budtenders that can help with professional development.
