A cannabis cultivator in Vermont is facing an $80,000 fine and having their license permanently rescinded after allegedly sabotaging their own grow room.

According to WCAX, Forbins Finest was already dealing with a suspended license after multiple rules violations. Co-Owner Nicholas Mattei allegedly made matters worse by illegally taking clones from his temporarily shuttered facility and later remotely turned off lights and water in his grow rooms, which the report said caused the "plants to mold, contaminating all of the facility’s product."

In addition to the fine and license forfeiture, the owners may also be forced to give back the clones they took, destroy their plants and lose access to the facility.
