California's Department of Cannabis Control (DCC) has issued a voluntary recall for a single Josh Wax Pre Roll Multipack pre-roll product due to the presence of arsenic.
The recall affects Sea Biscuit A2 3.5 grams pre-rolls that were packaged on or after July 15, 2024 and sold on or after July 22, 2024.
Full details on the impacted products can be viewed here.
This is just the latest cannabis-related recall for California. This week the DCC also issued a recall on all K.U.S.H. Collective vape products along with revoking the company's license.
In the past few months, the DCC has also recalled cannabis products for mold contamination and unapproved pesticides. In July, the DCC recalled multiple “Kush Creaturz” flower products due to labeling that is attractive to children.
The products in question feature cartoon characters with named including "Randy Resin," "Marty Mids," and "Frank the Fuego Man." Each package contains five grams of either sativa, indica or hybrid cannabis flower. Most of the products were packaged and sold this year though some of them date back to 2023.
