An Oklahoma cannabis testing lab is reopening after state regulators recently shut it down due to concerns about potential yeast and mold contamination in products tested by the company between 2023 and 2025.
Greenleaf Labs said it has successfully completed Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Authority's (OMMA) review process and officially resumed full operations.
"During this period, the lab worked closely with regulators to strengthen internal quality systems, enhance compliance protocols, and expand staff training to ensure ongoing alignment with Oklahoma’s rigorous testing standards," the company said in a statement. "We’re deeply grateful for the trust, patience, and support shown by our clients and community during this period. We’re excited to move forward — stronger, smarter, and more committed than ever to excellence in compliance testing."
In August, a routine compliance inspection led to OMMA inspectors identifying a concern at Greenleaf Labs that requires further scrutiny and analysis.
"OMMA is working with Greenleaf Labs to identify the specific products that were improperly tested and will release that information as soon as we have completed a thorough analysis," the agency said in a statement. "Due to the immediate risk to public health and safety, Greenleaf Labs’ OMMA license was summarily suspended on an emergency basis."
