Minnesota's Medical Cannabis Review Panel will meet on Thursday, Oct. 20, to discuss petitions to add qualifying medical conditions to the state's Medical Cannabis Program.

At the meeting, members of the panel will review petitions under consideration, public written comments and reports that highlight scientific studies on cannabis products as therapy for the conditions.

Petitions for qualifying medical conditions being considered are:

  • Gastroparesis
  • Irritable Bowel Syndrome/Irritable Bowel Syndrome with Diarrhea
  • Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder
  • Opioid Use Disorder

By Nov. 1, the panel will provide the Commissioner of Health a written report of the findings, identifying potential public health benefits and potential risks by adding or not adding a proposed condition.

The commissioner will approve or deny petitions by Dec. 1.
