Brite Tinctures Recalled in California for Exceeding THC Limits

The state also couldn't confirm that the products were made with good manufacturing practices.

Brite Recall
DCC

Last week, California's Department of Cannabis Control (DCC) issued a notice of voluntary recall for multiple Brite beverage products manufactured by United Medical Alliance LLC due to inaccurate product type on the labels, inability to establish the licensee is manufacturing with good manufacturing practices (GMP), and because the products exceed the per package concentration limit for THC. The products are acidified beverages and are therefore prohibited.

The recall applies to 2-ounce packages of Brite THC Syrup 500 mg tinctures in horchata, watermelon, grape, and berry flavors. The products were sold at 71 different locations in California on or after August 8, 2024.

For more information, including a list of batch numbers, UID numbers and locations where the products were sold, visit the DCC website.

Consumers are asked to dispose of affected product or return it to the retailer for proper disposal.
