The Parent Company and its Monogram cannabis brand, which is backed by Jay-Z, has been accused of illegal shipments and harassment in a new lawsuit.
According to SFGate, a former vice president at the Parent Company, the cannabis brand discriminated against her and came after her when she filed a report to alert regulators to alleged financial inaccuracies and violations.
Cathi Clay alleges that Monogram shipped cannabis out of California to New York for an event with Jay-Z. As the report points out, shipping cannabis across state lines is a felony and it violates California’s regulations regarding distribution.
