Silver Therapeutics today announced the opening of Stillwater’s first licensed cannabis dispensary.

As Minnesota’s adult-use cannabis market continues its rollout, the Stillwater location represents a local milestone, bringing a fully licensed retail experience to a city that previously had no regulated cannabis storefronts. The opening positions Stillwater among the growing number of Minnesota communities transitioning from limited hemp-derived offerings to fully regulated cannabis retail.

“We are so excited to be a new part of the community here in Stillwater,” said General Manager Teresa Klettenberg in a statement. “We’re introducing a new kind of cannabis retail experience that’s built on transparency, education, and trust.”

Silver Therapeutics has hired seven employees locally for the new store and has joined the Stillwater Chamber of Commerce, reinforcing its focus on becoming a long-term contributor to the local business community.

The store carries both low-dose hemp-derived products and full cannabis offerings, giving customers flexibility as they explore what works best for them.

“Our goal is simple,” said Assistant General Manager Brent Stariha in a statement. “Create a space where anyone can walk in, ask questions, and leave feeling informed and comfortable.”

Silver Therapeutics’ entry into Minnesota comes as the state works through the early stages of its regulated market, where strong consumer demand is currently outpacing supply due to testing and production bottlenecks.

Even with those early constraints, the company sees long-term upside in establishing a presence now.

“Minnesota is one of the most closely watched cannabis markets in the country right now,” said Brendan McKee, co-founder and COO, in a statement. “Getting established early allows us to grow with the market and build real relationships in the communities we serve.”
