
Shangri-La Dispensaries, a vertically integrated cannabis company with dispensary, manufacturing, and cultivation operations nationally, doubled its retail presence in 2024 and plans to expand cultivation, manufacturing, and retail in 2025.
Shangri-La expanded its national presence in 2024 by opening six new retail stores in Ohio, Illinois, and Connecticut, along with its existing locations in Missouri and Ohio. The company employs over 230 professionals nationwide and plans to add at least 130 more in 2025.
Shangri-La’s retail locations include:
- Ohio—Cleveland, Monroe, Monroe West, and Delphos
- Connecticut—Waterbury, Plainville, Norwalk, and Norwalk South
- Illinois—Springfield
- Missouri—Columbia, Columbia South, and Jefferson City
Founded in Missouri in 2019, the privately held and minority-owned Shangri-La became one of the nation’s largest multi-state operators in April.
Shangri-La has opened a manufacturing facility in Waterbury, Connecticut, and is building a cultivation and production facility in Stratford, Connecticut. Since May 2022, the company’s principals have also owned a cultivation and manufacturing facility in Missouri. The grow and manufacturing facilities supply cannabis products to Shangri-La stores and other retail outlets.
