After Nevada's Governor Joe Lombardo approved Senate Bill 277, which revised some cannabis-related provisions, multiple licensees and consumers contacted the state's Cannabis Compliance Board (CCB) with questions regarding new sale and possession limits.

As detailed in the bill, the CCB confirms that on January 1, 2024, sale and possession limits will increase from one ounce to 2.5 ounces of usable cannabis and from one-eighth (1/8) to one-fourth (1/4) ounce of concentrated cannabis.

According to the CCB, no action will be required in Metrc for the change, but retailers must update their point-of-sale (POS) systems.

The CCB also reminds dispensaries that signage inside sales facilities regarding sale and possession limits will need to be updated to reflect the new limits.

SB277 didn't address limits per package and per vehicle for delivery, so they remain the same.
