MJBizCon today announced a pair of new collaborations to bring more in-person experiences and exclusive opportunities to attendees.
Ganjier, The Cannabis Sommelier Certification Program, will offer their brand-new Ganjier Product Specialist (GPS) program to ticketed attendees. And Blunt Brunch, an event for cannabis women executives and professionals will take place at the Las Vegas Convention Center with MJBiz Women in Leadership Forum for the first time.
As the cannabis industry enters a new phase of potential rescheduling, while continuously adding new markets, trustworthy knowledge is imperative. Akin to the Level 1 Sommelier training in the wine industry, the Ganjier Product Specialist program is an online training and credential program designed to ensure that cannabis professionals have a comprehensive understanding of cannabis products, consumption methods, quality preservation techniques, and assessment best practices.
From founders and CEO's to frontline growers and retailers, leading cannabis companies such as Kiva Brands, Cookies, Curaleaf, and Ascend Wellness have adopted the Ganjier program for their workforces.
The joint collaboration with MJBizCon will give the industry an opportunity to purchase a discounted combo pass to complete the 10-hour online program (designed and taught by leading industry professionals) paired with unique in-person experiences at MJBizCon, including an in-person final exam, interactive offsite tasting and aroma training, networking and a graduation celebration.
The combo packages start at $399 for an Expo + Ganjier Product Specialist program on the MJBizCon registration site. Tickets are available to the first 300 who register.
“Cannabis is remarkably complex, which is why there is broad consensus that more robust and focused cannabis education is essential to the health and success of our industry,” said Max Simon, CEO of Green Flower and Ganjier. “Bringing this brand-new, Level 1 training program to MJBizCon, the nucleus event of the industry, is a great occasion to keep educating the industry in real time.”
Over the years, Blunt Brunch has evolved into a leading women-focused event in the cannabis industry. MJBizCon, a female-founded business, will partner to offer this special networking brunch event in conjunction with the MJBiz Women in Leadership Forum on Tuesday, Dec. 3 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
“We are incredibly proud to partner with MJBizCon this year, combining our efforts to elevate and empower women in the cannabis industry like never before. This collaboration during MJBizCon Week is a powerful testament to the strength and influence of women, providing an unparalleled platform for their voices, achievements, and ambitions,” said Adelia Carrillo, co-founder of Blunt Brunch. “This collaboration means a great deal to us as it aligns perfectly with our mission to support and inspire the women who are shaping the future of our industry.”
"By strategically partnering with esteemed cannabis brands such as Ganjier and Blunt Brunch, this underscores our commitment to establishing a premier platform for education and networking within the cannabis industry. This initiative not only reinforces our dedication to fostering credible and impactful industry relationships but also enhances our ability to serve as a comprehensive resource for professionals across the entire spectrum of the cannabis sector," said Emilie Lewis, SVP, MJBiz.
