California's Department of Cannabis Control has issued more recalls for cannabis products that have tested positive for pesticides.

The DCC sent out a mandatory recall for a single Backpackboyz PREMIUM VAPE Integrated Vaporizer product due to the presence of the pesticide chlorfenapyr. This recall applies to Black Cherry Gelato 1.0g (0.035 oz) packages sold on or after Sept. 13, 2023. The agency provided a full list of locations where the recalled products were sold.

The DCC sent out a similar mandatory recall for multiple CIRCLES CANNABIS OIL VAPORIZER Vape Cartridge products including Gelatti 1g either packaged on or after March 8, 2024 or sold on or after March 12, 2024. It also impacts Pink Runtz 1g packaged on or after May 21, 2024 or sold on or after May 28, 2024. A similar list of locations was provided.

In all cases, the DCC is telling consumers who may have purchased these products:

  • If you are experiencing symptoms or any adverse reactions, contact your physician immediately.
  • Check your package for the matching UID and batch numbers.
  • If the numbers match, dispose of the product or return it to the retailer for proper disposal.
  • Beginning, July 1, 2024, cannabis vape cartridges and cannabis integrated vaporizers must be properly disposed of as hazardous waste at a household hazardous waste facility or other approved facility.
