The Department of Cannabis Control (DCC) in California yesterday issued a mandatory recall for multiple flower products from PurpleStar due to the presence of Aspergillus niger, which is commonly known as black mold.
The recall applies to three products that were only sold at the company's dispensary in San Francisco.
The products include 3.5g, 7g and 14g packages of Hindu Zkittlez packaged on or after May 21, 2024.
Consumers should check the packaging for the affected batch numbers and UID numbers and dispose, or return, any matching product.
