Leading globally focused investment group Artemis Growth Partners, together with Tenacious Labs, will be hosting the inaugural Global Cannabis Regulatory Summit (GCRS) in Washington, D.C., a first-of-its-kind international symposium aimed at fostering global connectivity and partnership amongst regulators, industry, and investors.

The invite-only event will take place within the United States Capitol Complex on March 26th and 27th, 2025. A reception for all invited guests will be held in Georgetown the evening of March 25th. Lead sponsors include AON, Aurora, Bedrocan, Bloomwell, Curaleaf, Four20 Pharma, Jacana, Pierce Attwood LLP, RELM Insurance and Village Farms. ASDA Consultancy Services, Black Catalyst Consulting, Cutbill Jacoby Communications, The Dales Report, FoxNrth, LawrenceStephens, The Liaison Group, Mattio Communications, Oppenhoff, Potash Global Strategy, Prohibition Partners, UIVEC, Vicente LLP and Woodbridge Research are providing further expertise and support for the Summit.

As global cannabis sales within regulated markets are expected to reach $51 billion this year (New Frontier Data), the timing has never been more critical to enter an era of intercontinental collaboration. With a curated attendee list, the GCRS will coalesce international regulators with members of Congress, international policy experts and leading cannabis industry executives from around the world to explore interaction strategies that will prime both burgeoning and established markets for long-term success.

While the United States is in the midst of rescheduling cannabis, countries such as France, Germany, Greece, Italy, South Africa, Czech Republic, Ukraine and more are in the process of establishing legal programs. At the Summit, ideas will be shared and discussed in an effort to expedite the momentum of cannabis legalization in different jurisdictions and its potential to foster global development.

For the invited regulators, the focus of the Summit is to gain exposure and connections that are otherwise unavailable in such a specialized forum and to come away better informed and more effective to implement sensible, field-tested, and impactful policies in jurisdictions on the precipice of legalization.

For general audience attendees, the symposium environment offers an intimate setting to enjoy unprecedented access to US and international regulatory decision makers, to network with their industry peers, and to learn from regulators' experiences about lessons learned in both emerging and mature medical and legal adult-use cannabis jurisdictions.

Following a reception for all attendees on the evening of March 25th, the first full day of the symposium begins March 26th and will feature curated panel discussions addressing a multitude of topics pertaining to the medical cannabis market, followed by an intimate networking dinner.

March 27th, day two of the Summit, will include a half day of programming focused on adult-use markets. Panels include topics such as Cannabis in the Americas, Moving from Prohibition to Regulation in Europe, Emerging and New Sovereign Markets/Rest of World and Unlocking Global Economic Growth.

"After much research and hard work, we are thrilled to finally be able to provide a crucially needed space for regulators and experts of the highest levels to convene and discuss the outlook of the global cannabis market," said Will Muecke, co-founder and chief investment officer of Artemis Growth Partners.

"As legislation evolves and markets come online at different paces all over the world, it is becoming clearer that an interconnected supply chain of both product and capital will prove vital for long-term growth, sustainability and patient benefit. The Global Cannabis Regulatory Summit aims to be the setting for the pivotal connections that will shape the future. We hope that the success of the summit this year will make the GCRS an annual must-attend event for regulators, industry players, and investors in cannabis operators."
