The California Department of Cannabis Control (DCC) announced that more than $2.7 million worth of illegal cannabis, including 1,788 pounds of illegal plants, was seized at an illegal indoor cultivation and manufacturing operation in Orange County.
The enforcement action led by DCC’s Law Enforcement Division (LED) with the assistance of the Anaheim Police Department and Anaheim City Code Enforcement took place on April 16, at a warehouse located a few hundred yards from Angel Stadium.
Additional highlights of the enforcement action:
- 98.76 pounds of cannabis concentrate seized
- 413 pounds of illegal cannabis flower
- 5 arrests
“Thanks to the diligent work of our officers and partner agencies, this extensive unlicensed cannabis operation, linked to organized crime and posing significant risks to public safety has been shut down,” said Department of Cannabis Control Director Nicole Elliott. “The Anaheim Police Department stepped up to the plate for this operation and we value their partnership in protecting the public and reducing the size of the illicit market.”
For community safety, Anaheim City Code Enforcement red-tagged the site and disconnected the electricity.
