The Cannabis Business Expo and Conference (CB Expo) returns to Dortmund, Germany, from September 18 to 20, 2025. The trade fair is held in tandem with tobacco industry shows InterTabac and InterSupply, and remains a destination for the European cannabis industry.

The show intends to cover a host of hot topics, including the German Federal Minister of Health restricting remote prescriptions and online sales of medical cannabis. The CB Conference program will be conducted primarily in English, with the exception of events focusing on topics specific to Germany.

The Cannabis Act (CanG), which has been in force since April 1, 2024, will be evaluated in fall as scheduled. Even before the official start of this process, the threat of restrictions on telemedicine and mail order is already causing considerable unrest. The developments will be the focus of the conference, with contributions from Dirk Heitepriem, president of the German Cannabis Industry Association, Dr. Christiane Neubaur, president of the Association of Cannabis-Supplying Pharmacies, and Prof. Dr. Bernd Werse, head of addiction research at the University of Frankfurt.

A Deep Dive Stage will be dedicated to the scientific examination of cannabis cultivation. Renowned researchers from Germany and abroad, led by Sonny Moerenhout from The Cultivators, will present current studies and findings on plant breeding. For cultivation associations, Marcus Geschwandtner form Grow Up! Consulting, and Dirk Rehan from Drehandel, the brains behind Cannabis Competence Days, will offer a comprehensive workshop covering practical topics such as building permits, financing, and advertising bans.
