DoorDash recently began making hemp-derived THC products available with its delivery orders and the company said it has seen a significant rise in customers taking advantage.
The company this week released its 2025 DoorDash Delivery Trends report and highlighted THC as a possible alcohol alternative. It said that from December 2024 to January 2025, DoorDash orders with hemp THC beverages grew 19% and orders with hemp THC edibles were up 15%, "perhaps signaling that consumers are exploring new rituals during Dry January."
DoorDash announced earlier this year that eligible customers can now order a variety of hemp-derived THC and CBD products from merchants like DashMart – a fulfillment platform and store from DoorDash offering businesses a new channel to reach customers locally – Total Wine & More, ABC Fine Wine & Spirits, and more.
In markets where hemp-derived products are available, customers will see the CBD/THC tab in the DoorDash app. As with alcohol, the company said it has implemented multiple safeguards to help ensure customers are of legal age, including electronic ID verification.
