New Organization to Represent Small, Independent Cannabis Producers

The NCCC has already signaled “strong support” for the SHIP Act.

A new cannabis industry organization has formed to provide representation for small, independent cannabis producers.

The National Craft Cannabis Coalition (NCCC) is a coalition of six organizations representing 1,000 cannabis producers across the U.S.

It includes Origins Council, F.A.R.M.S., Washington Sun & Craft Growers Association, Vermont Growers Association, Maine Craft Cannabis Association and Farm Bug.

The NCCC said its purpose is to promote state and federal policies that support small cannabis producers.

“With federal legalization on the horizon, it’s critical that craft cannabis producers organize across state lines,” the organization wrote.

The NCCC has already signaled “strong support” for the SHIP Act introduced last week by Rep. Jared Huffman (D-CA).

The proposed law would allow cannabis producers to ship their products directly to consumers across the U.S.
