Cannabis brands have new products ready to go as Québec prepares to open its legal cannabis market to vape sales.
Both Village Farms and Tilray made new product announcements ahead of the expected start of sales later this week.
Village Farms today announced the launch of Promenade’s first vape product, Matin, and Tilray announced the introduction of Good Supply vape products in Québec. The companies both signaled strong demand for cannabis vape options in the province.
"While meaningful progress has been made in shifting consumers from the illicit to the legal market, the absence of a regulated vape category in Québec until now has limited consumer access to this format," said Village Farms in a news release. "An estimated 21 percent of Québec cannabis consumers previously turned to out-of-province, medical or unregulated sources, many of whom were vape users seeking products unavailable through regulated channels."
“The introduction of vape products in Québec marks an important milestone for both consumers and the industry,” said Blair MacNeil, president of Tilray Canada, in a statement. “We’re proud to offer Good Supply vapes in full compliance with provincial regulations, ensuring adult consumers have access to quality, regulated products.”
