Cannabis and hemp testing company Kaycha Labs has announced that its next lab will be in Tempe, Arizona.
According to James Horvath, CEO of Kaycha Labs, Arizona is a logical choice for expansion since the state recently legalized adult-use, recreational marijuana in November 2020.
Arizona is a new market, but Horvath says many of Kaycha's multi-state operator clients have invested heavily in the state.
The new 6,000-square-foot facility has a sufficient layout that will allow the lab to build-out quickly.
According to John Schwartz, COO, the company has already hired a lab director and the construction contracts have been signed. He expects the lab to be operational by fall after completing the regulatory process.
Kaycha is based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The company has more than 500 procedures and methods to test cannabis and hemp products using state-of-the-art equipment.
With locations in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida (Fort Lauderdale/Davie and Gainesville), Massachusetts, Nevada, Oklahoma, Oregon, and Tennessee, that company has an extensive network of labs in the United States.
