A U.S. company has a plan to sell cannabis-based products in Redbox-like kiosks.
Green Roads, a subsidiary of Valens, makes wellness products with hemp-derived CBD and other cannabinoids.
The company has entered an agreement with Signifi Solutions to place cloud-managed kiosks in various mall locations around the U.S.
Early markets include New York, Florida, Arizona, Texas and Colorado, with potential plans for another 60 mall locations in 2022.
The first kiosk is expected to go live in June 2022 and will include a full assortment of Green Roads products.
The included CBD products will be focused on helping with stress, sleep, muscle and joint pain, relaxation and focus.
Green Roads will also use technology to gather and understand both sales data and customer demographics.
"To our knowledge, no other CBD company has combined this level of technology with the sale of its products,” the company said.
