Recent Forbes covers have featured Vice President Kamala Harris, Spotify CEO Daniel Ek and Netflix CEO Reed Hastings.
Now the business publication will feature its first cannabis executive when Cookies CEO Gilbert Anthony Milam Jr. appears on the cover of the August/September issue.
Milam Jr., also known as Berner, co-founded Cookies in 2010 and has helped it grow to over 50 retail locations in 17 markets across five countries.
Berner is highlighted in the article, “Weed Vs. Greed: How America Botched Legalizing Pot.”
The story explores the cannabis industry’s tricky regulatory and commercial landscape and discusses the challenges facing brands.
“To be selected as one of the faces for federal legalization in our country is a huge compliment to my work,” he said.
The U.S. cannabis industry could be worth up to $72 billion by 2030, according to research from New Frontier Data.
