A small cultivator in Vermont was hit with a major fine after a social media post showed him illegally transporting cannabis.
According to VT Digger, Tall Truck owner Devon Deyhle runs a cannabis cultivation operation with fewer than 1,000 square feet of plants.
He posted an Instagram video of himself delivering cannabis to an unlicensed dispensary in New York City in December 2022.
Shortly after someone reported the video he received a notice of violation from the Vermont Cannabis Control Board.
Deyhle had to pay a $20,000 fine. His other punishments, including having his license temporarily taken away, were suspended for the next two years.
“You make your bed, you sleep in it,” he told the publication. “You pay for your mistakes.”
