CEN at MJBizCon: Pipet Controller Helps Lab Workers Prevent Injury, Be More Efficient

Celltreat Scientific offers a more ergonomic solution.

The Cannabis Equipment News team recently traveled to MJBizCon, held in Las Vegas from November 28 through December 1. At the show, we interviewed equipment manufacturers, cultivators, operators and new product developers to learn more about what they bring to the cannabis industry.

Celltreat Scientific Products manufactures many of the basic consumables found in cannabis labs, everything from pipette tips to tubes. The company also has several lines of pipettes, like the company's Ovation line. The products are simple to use, and many labs employ them for potency and heavy metal testing.

At MJBizCon 2023, the company debuted the ali-Q2, a pipet controller with a multi-dispense feature and speed adjustments. According to Cody Sarcinella, West Coast sales manager at Celltreat, the ali-Q2 is accurate, repeatable, and a suitable replacement for classic serological pipets.

Sarcinella says that if you work in the lab, your wrists can get sore after a workday of redundant tasks. The ali-Q2 helps lab workers be more efficient and is also a more ergonomic solution.

The company previously focused on the food and beverage industry but recently began serving the cannabis industry.

The next MJBizCon will be held from December 3, 2024, through December 6, 2024, at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
