This week, Rocco Del Priore, co-founder of Sweed, joins the Cannabis Equipment News podcast to discuss how he built a platform to address unique dispensary challenges and set the table for the AI renaissance.

Rocco Del Priore has a background in software after working for industry giants like Apple and Salesforce, but he wanted to move faster on his ideas, which is difficult when working for monoliths.

While he watched friends and colleagues jump to oddball startups (Tinder for dogs?), he waited to make a move into a market he cared about, somewhere he could truly make a difference, and cannabis seemed like a match made in Heaven.

He flew out to Colorado, and walked into dispensaries to find out what operators needed. After that, he rolled up his sleeves and got to work.

His most recent venture is Sweed, a single platform that allows cannabis retailers to manage their entire operation. And by having all company data—and good company data—in one place, Del Priore says Sweed is primed for the world's current AI renaissance. Good data is becoming a hot commodity, and Sweed is well-positioned to take advantage.
