The Colorado Department of Revenue (DOR), in conjunction with the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE), is issuing an expanded Health and Safety Advisory (HSA) due to the identification of contaminated regulated marijuana produced by HG LTD, doing business as Higher Grade.
The DOR and CDPHE issued a HSA on January 22, 2026, and further investigation has identified additional harvest batches to include in the advisory. The Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED) does not anticipate any further expansion of the Advisory.
The CDPHE and DOR deem it a threat to public health and safety when marijuana is found to have contaminants above the acceptable limits established by Colorado cannabis rules. This advisory includes cannabis batches that were tested and found to have exceeded acceptable limits established for total yeast, mold and aspergillus.
HG LTD collaborated with the MED to initiate a voluntary recall for the affected Harvest Batches. The affected product was sold between August 29, 2025, and February 4, 2026. The list of affected licenses, harvest batch numbers, and stores is available here.
