The Michigan Cannabis Regulatory Agency (CRA) has filed a formal complaint against a cannabis processor after an inspection turned up several products that appeared to be from out of state.

VJAS 1, which is licensed to operate in Harrison Township, is accused of having more than 12,000 individual cannabis products lacking Metrc tags or other identifying information. Included among the untagged and unidentified cannabis products were products in California packaging depicting the letters “CA” and containing warning information specific to California.

The CRA said employees at the facility were unable to explain why or how the facility had so many untagged products.

Investigators did turn up several products that did have proper Metrc tags, however after cross-referencing, they discovered that those products were supposed to be located at other cannabis businesses.

VJAS is now facing fines and the potential suspension, revocation, restriction, and/or refusal to renew its license.
