His company, just like countless others, has been hurt by the cannabis licensing legal disputes in New York. But after the state's cannabis board recently settled the lawsuits that were preventing licenses from being issued, there's reason to be optimistic.

While the New York market was in limbo, Naturae focused all of its attention on product development. The company ended up condensing about three years of planned growth into a much smaller window and growing its product portfolio from six SKUs in January to 49 in December. If all goes to plan in New York and the judge signs off on the settlement, Guarino expects a major distribution boost for Naturae's brands including Jaunty.
