The Cannabis Equipment News team recently traveled to MJBizCon, held in Las Vegas from November 28 through December 1. At the show, we interviewed equipment manufacturers, cultivators, operators and new product developers to learn more about what they bring to the cannabis industry.
KE GreenDuct is a fabric duct manufacturer that specializes in vertical and indoor farming. The company's textile-based air distribution system eliminates velocity problems caused by fans and effectively eliminates microclimates — one of the biggest obstacles cannabis growers face.
Ken Rummage, VP of sales and marketing at GreenDuct, says that when growers have inconsistent crops throughout the room, airflow is the problem. He says even air distribution throughout the grow can lead to higher yields.
GreenDucts can be adapted to each facility with a customized product. The cultivator has the freedom to help design airflow systems, but GreenDuct offers turnkey solutions as well. The company uses design tools like its TBV Designer software to tailor the system for any indoor grow.
The fabric ducts don't require much maintenance and can be cleaned in a washing machine. The ducts also have a tool-less design with joints that zip together.
The system is UL 2518 certified for air dispersion systems and meets the ISO Class 4 Cleanroom standards.
The next MJBizCon will be held from December 3, 2024, through December 6, 2024, at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
