CEN at MJBizCon: New Lights Give Cannabis Growers the Power to Control Every Spectrum

Growers can create any light recipe they desire.

The Cannabis Equipment News team recently traveled to MJBizCon, held in Las Vegas from November 28 through December 1. At the show, we interviewed equipment manufacturers, cultivators, operators and new product developers to learn more about what they bring to the cannabis industry.

Based in Nevada, Fohse designs and manufactures LED grow lights for cannabis cultivators. At MJBizCon 2023, company co-founder and president Ben Arnet launched a revamped A3i unit, the A3i Pro. Arnet says the new lights give growers seven channels to control every light spectrum, empowering them to make any recipe they desire.

Fohse was founded upon the principles of listening to growers and solving their problems. The philosophy is what led the company to be named the 19th fastest-growing private company in America on the 2022 Inc. 5000 list.

The new tech behind the A3i Pro directly results from customer feedback.

Fohse dedicates a lot of time and resources to R&D. According to Arnet, his company even sends horticulturalists to work onsite with clients, helping with testing and getting the grow as close to perfect as possible. He stresses the importance of constant improvement as the industry strives for perfection. He sees his relationships with growers and clients as a symbiotic partnership with a common goal.

"There's no 'right way' yet," Arnet says about the industry's myriad lighting methodologies. "I don't think we've found that right way yet, but we just keep getting better and better and closer to perfection; that's the goal."

The next MJBizCon will be held from December 3, 2024, through December 6, 2024, at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
