Eaze, one of the largest cannabis delivery companies operating in California, is facing foreclosure after a new lawsuit from one of its investors.
Tech investor Jim Clark filed the suit after the company allegedly defaulted on a loan, according to a court filing spotted by WeedWeek.
Clark is reportedly demanding all of Eaze’s assets.
Eaze, which employs more than 600 drivers in California, accepted a $36.9 million loan in 2022 which allowed Clark to take control of the company if monthly revenues fell short.
Despite the recent legal troubles for Eaze, CEO Cory Azzalino told SFGate that his company’s operations would continue as normal.
He also said his company is still in a “healthy financial position.”
