This week, Tyler Vaughan, channel sales manager at PreRoll-Er, joins the Cannabis Equipment News podcast to discuss why the industry needs equipment that can evolve with consumer demand and provide access to make any size pre-roll, in any shape, without having to spend more money.
Tyler Vaughan started his professional career as a middle school Spanish teacher, but times changed and he transitioned into business, including the launch of a company that specialized in manufacturing goalkeeper gloves. For the past five years, he has worked on the automation side of the cannabis industry, specifically packaging and pre-roll automation equipment.
Vaughan, now a channel sales manager at PreRoll-Er, is inspired by an industry filled with exceptional individuals, who often end up working multiple roles because cannabis companies are growing exponentially.
But Vaughan has seen an exciting new trend; cannabis startups are looking at automation equipment out of the gate, and equipment manufacturers are getting creative in offering access to credit and other financial tools to make it possible.
Vaughan says equipment manufacturers have been chasing the "microwave mentality," embracing machinery that you can essentially "press start and let it go." He believes PreRoll-Er has achieved it with the V6 version of the PreRoll-Er-200 set to debut at MJBizCon in early December. The latest version has seen some big changes, including packing pre-rolls based on density. The machine includes a machine learning element that can adjust compaction by learning from each pre-roll manufactured.
The company will also debut an all-in-one machine that can produce any pre-roll, including cigarette style, in a single system.
Vaughan says it's PreRoll-Er's mission to produce equipment that can evolve with the industry's demands and provide access to make any size pre-roll, any shape, without having to spend more money on new equipment.
