Massachusetts On-Site Cannabis Consumption Plans Include Yoga Studios, Theaters

The state also said it will offer Event Organizer licenses for temporary on-site cannabis consumption.

Massachusetts last week unveiled plans for allowing on-site social consumption of cannabis in the state.

In a presentation spotted by Ganjapreneur, the state’s Cannabis Control Commission outlined the available license classes.

Supplemental licenses will be available to existing cultivators, retailers, manufacturers and others who want to open attached consumption lounges, cafes or tasting rooms.

Hospitality licenses will be available for new and existing non-cannabis commercial business spaces, which could include yoga studios, theaters, and lodging spaces.

The state also said it will offer Event Organizer licenses for temporary on-site cannabis consumption.

But those licenses will be limited to no more than 24 events per year and the events can be no longer than five days in length.
