Michigan Busts Massive Illegal Cannabis Operation

The flower tested positive for banned pesticides, heavy metals and mold.

Michigan State Police (MSP) recently busted what it said could be one of the largest illegal cannabis operations in state history.

According to Crain’s Detroit, MSP’s Marijuana & Tobacco Investigation Section executed a warrant on a single operation across four buildings.

MSP said it seized more than 6,000 marijuana plants and 700 pounds of marijuana flower.

The agency estimated that the seized cannabis had a legal market value of more than $1 million.

However, the illegal cannabis tested positive for banned pesticides, heavy metals and mold.

MSP also said it seized 2,500 pounds of psilocybin mushroom bars.
