CEN at MJBizCon: More Powerful Decontamination Means Faster Decontamination

XRPure's XR16 cannabis decontamination packs about twice the punch compared to similar machines.

XRPure's XR16 is an X-ray-based decontamination machine for the the cannabis industry. Jeff Adams, managing director at XRPure, said that what makes it unique is its operating power level of 16 kilowatts, which is twice as powerful as similar machines currently on the market.

"What that means to the end customer is that it's faster," Adams said.

X-ray provides decontamination for cannabis without doing any damage to the plant. In other words, it will "kill all the bad stuff without affecting the good stuff" like terpenes. It's effective, but Adams said it's still key to make sure operators are clean in all of their upstream processes if they want to be sure their plants pass tests.

The Cannabis Equipment News (CEN) team recently traveled to MJBizCon 2024 in Las Vegas from December 4 through December 6. At the show, we interviewed leaders from nearly every aspect of the industry. We didn't have time to interview everybody, so if we missed you, please reach out to [email protected]. MJBizCon 2025 is scheduled to be held from December 2, 2025, through December 5, 2025, at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
