Deconix, formerly Yofumo Technologies, has created a patented UVC-V technology, a precise EU-GMP and CE certified ozone decontamination system that doesn't harm the volatile organic compounds of the cannabis plant.
At MJBizCon 2025, Deconix unveiled a new upgrade that can incorporate data directly from lab groups so operators can import certificate of analysis (COA) data into the unit. The company hopes to streamline the post-harvest process through lab and compliance and remove as much human error out of the process as possible.
Joseph Edwards, chief science officer at Deconix, says, "What we're hoping to do as we move forward is actually be able to use and optical character recognition system to import that data directly so that we can go straight from data, to Metrc, to decontamination and then out to product."
Edwards strives to deliver the most product to market in the most time efficient way possible.
"We see a lot of clients overtreat the product," Edwards says. "There is no need to be in process for 12 hours, or go through extraordinary decontamination steps if your product doesn't require it. So having that data direct from the lab allows us to not only correlate with our clients, but [import] direct to the machine interface, saving time and money all the way up the process chain."
