Blue Whale Enterprises, which operates Cookies, is being hit with a major fine after one of its dispensaries in Albuquerque reached a settlement with New Mexico officials.
The state’s Cannabis Control Division earlier this year accused the location of multiple violations of New Mexico’s Cannabis Regulation Act.
The dispensary allegedly allowed someone under the age of 21 to attend a grand opening event and allowed attendees to consume cannabis without having a consumption license.
Cookies reportedly created a social media post depicting someone consuming cannabis on the property.
Blue Whale is paying $50,000 for a total of five violations and another $300,000 to keep from having to close its doors for two weeks.
The company could have its license suspended if it commits any more of the same violations in the next two years.
