Ari Raptis is the founder and CEO of three businesses serving various aspects of the cannabis logistics industry. Raptis says his businesses make him vertically integrated from seed to end consumer.
For example, Talaria Transportation works in fulfillment, moving product from cultivator to dispensary, and National Secure Transport manages cash flow from operators to financial institutions. Finally, Melly Home Delivery manages the product flow from the dispensary to the end consumer. Right now, it's is one of two home delivery providers in Utah. Still, the company plans to expand its service to five new states this year, including Missouri, Maryland and other states along the Northeast Corridor.
Currently operating in 30 states, Raptis hopes more territories come online as part of a "green wave." Eventually, he expects to work in all lower 48 states (with Alaska and Hawaii coming online in time). He also plans to start providing international logistics. Given the fractured nature of the U.S. cannabis industry, Raptis says his model is designed to scale on a global level.
