Paxiom, now a division of ATS, has been designing and developing new cannabis automation equipment for several years.
At MJBizCon 2025 in Las Vegas, Andre Strul, senior territory manager of Paxiom Group, told Cannabis Equipment News that an evolution of market demands has created a need to innovate every part of the process, adding versatility.
For example, the JuanaPack can pick and place one or multiple pre-rolls into various types of packaging, such as pop-top and capped tubes, plastic and metal tins, and jars.
Strul also noted that as the pre-roll industry becomes more sophisticated, customers demand new pre-roll product features, like infusion, kiefing, and crowning. He said operators stand to benefit by automating these processes.
Finally, as the pre-roll market becomes more saturated, Strul says a major differentiator is quality control. So, at the show, Paxiom showcased the Vision360 Pre Roll Inspector, a small unit that inspects every pre-roll, quickly and accurately.
ATS closed its Paxiom acquisition in July 2024, and Strul said the industrial automation giant will bring the collaboration, support and expertise necessary to push Paxiom to the next level.
